Stifle: to restrain or stop oneself from acting on an emotion.
Everyone can identify with feeling stifled. We've all experienced suddenly seeing someone who just jumps off the page at us in terms of our
attraction. In that instant, life becomes more beautiful again. The day suddenly takes on more meaning, a more profound importance. Dull grays turn
colorful. And we want more of it.
But instead of confidently flowing toward that awesome attraction, most people paddle like fearful puppies toward an opposite, duller shore. We
don't like ourselves for being afraid. We lie awake at night, playing and replaying the encounter in our heads.
Why can't we be unstifled? Is it even possible? Can we learn to let loose our inner force, and flow toward potentially amazing,
even earth-shaking hook ups?
